E-learning Telekom – Romanian Courses and Educational Activities for Refugees

The initiator of the project: The service of Iezuitilor for the refugees in Romania – Conducting Romanian language courses and culture in the 6 refugee accommodation centres in the country is a challenge. Through the E-learning methods, the refugees will be able, first of all, to deepen the Romanian language courses organised at the local centres sporadically, and for the periods when these are not organised, they will be able to continue the learning process without any breaks. JRS Romania also organises courses at its centre – My Place Centre. The e-learning method will allow the real-time (live) transmission of the course from the My Place Centre to the other centre, the real-time interaction of the refugees with the teacher, through a minimal investment in technology, the personnel costs will be diminished significantly in the future, thus allowing us to allocate more funds to our beneficiaries in direct assistance services. The use of the E-learning education method will also allow the creation of the foundations of the sustainability of this type of education, considering the low costs.
