European database on validation of non-formal and informal learning

This database provides an overview of how Italy addresses the various challenges related to the definition of validation agreements.
I ° – the strategy and sectoral policies of validation,
II ° – national trends,
III – the 4 phases of the skills validation process,
IV – the conditions for the application of such validation practices,
V ° – stakeholder coordination,
VI ° – European guidelines for the validation of non-formal and informal learning,
VII ° – the European advent being validated
VIII – the validation project.
Specifically, in point III, it is highlighted how the 2012 Recommendation identifies four distinct phases for the validation of skills:
In the first three phases mentioned below there are the learning outcomes of an individual acquired through non-formal and informal learning:
1. IDENTIFICATION
2. DOCUMENTATION
3. ASSESSMENT
4. CERTIFICATION: here are the results of the evaluation of an individual’s learning outcomes acquired through non-formal and informal learning, in the form of a qualification or credits leading to a qualification.
