FREE ROMANIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL ACCOMMODATION COURSE FOR FOREIGNERS

The Methodology and pedagogical approaches define that The Western University of Timişoara (UVT), the institution of higher education is willing to offer free Romanian language and European culture courses to refugees who arrive in Romania. The ability of UVT to handle such a situation has already been tested by the fact that the University has been organising a preparatory year for all foreign students who come to Timisoara for a long time and want or need to learn Romanian. Thus, every year, approximately 150 foreign students use UVT services to learn language and culture. The free courses would help refugees to adapt easily to the Romanian society, would facilitate their access to education and may contribute to the avoidance of conflicts of ideologies due to the differences between very different civilisations, UVT shows.
