«Parlo dunque sono» is an action-research project concerning the learning process of a second language conceived as an integration tool for migrant and refugee and asylum-seeker women. The general main goal of the project is, indeed, the social inclusion of migrants, refugees and asylum-seekers in Rome through Italian language teaching activities. In particular, the project aims at:
-improving the Italian language skills of the category of people taken into account;
-promoting the participation of migrant women in educational programs and in the social life of the community;
-supporting pregnant women and improving their health conditions;
-promoting intercultural education and artistic educational processes in order to raise local people’s awareness about migrations and intercultural their of life in their society.
The project also involves volunteers, giving them the opportunity to work in the field of intercultural education and providing them a training on education, integration methodologies and intercultural pedagogy.
