Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Learning: Country Practices

This document describes the various practices of countries and regions, including quantitative data and references to pilot projects. The report also examines contextual factors to the extent that they can influence systems for recognizing non-formal and informal learning outcomes. It also offers a description of how the systems are organized, their legal frameworks, procedures, technical provisions and possible pilot programs. The sections are structured by topic or by country. In addition to the practices of various states, it also states the factors and risks of inhibition in the recognition of non-formal and informal learning outcomes. Finally, evaluation methods for candidates for the recognition and evaluation of results, and good practices on quality standards.
