The certification model of the skills acquired in non-formal and informal contexts

The certification model for the acquired competences in non-formal and informal learning contexts offers, to each citizen, the opportunity to certify the possession of skills acquired during his life, regardless of the context in which he developed them. In general, the necessary condition to be able to develop a model of certification of competences is to have a reference framework which, in the specific case, is represented by the Regional Framework of Professional Standards (QRSP). The basic principle underlying the certification of competences is that according to which the competence is certifiable when it is recognisable through observable behaviour. The document describes the process of certification of competences in Lombardy (Italy) divided in 5 phases from the request to the delivery of a final certification of own competences. The main tools that characterise the certification model developed here are:
• The QRSP, http://www.lavoro.regione.lombardia.it/, section Training for work;
• The EUROPASS Curriculum Vitae (Model 1);
• The summary description (Form 2), written or verbally recorded;
• The Guide to the Construction of the Evidence Portfolio (Model 3), in written or recorded form
verbally;
• The evaluation evaluation grid (Model 4);
• The evaluation grid in presence (Model 5).
