Validation of competences: tools and examples
The documents here proposed were taken from the most interesting validation practices identified in the survey conducted in the context of the research Recognition of non formal and informal learning which involved a screening of projects promoted from 2004 to 2010 by associations , training institutions, research institutes, foundations, regions and local authorities financed through private funds, national funds, European Social Fund and through Community Programs such as the Leonardo da Vinci Program.
Specifically, this program from 2000 to 2006 carried out pilot projects regarding educational and training experimentation of innovative products; while in 2007 it was included in the framework of the Framework Program on Lifelong Learning.
Validation or validation of learning outcomes means the confirmation by a competent body that the learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and / or competences) acquired by a person in a formal, non-formal or informal context are have been verified on the basis of pre-established criteria and comply with the requirements of a validation standard. The validation can be followed by certification or credit recognition. In the proposed link, multiple examples are selected as support in the design and implementation of experience validation skills practices.
